China, India and Australia take 72% of APEJ IT service spending
APEJ IT services spending in 2011 is expected to grow by 8.7% over 2010, with China, Australia and India contributing 72% to the total spending. The two biggest drivers of APEJ IT spending are outsourcing services and new IT projects specifically on "cloud" and "smart infrastructure."

Indonesian restaurant franchises stay connected on cloud

Employees across the 38 branches of the restaurant group Bumbu Desa found new ways to collaborate. Using cloud-based collaboration tools, each Bumbu Desa franchise can now share menus, greet diners, and submit their daily sales reports to franchise headquarters via file sharing.

Cloud and mobile best fit India's IT budget reality

Tata extends its IaaS offering Instacompute to Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and the Philippines. Running on Dell storage and compute infrastructure, Tata's cloud services for the region will be hosted out of the company's data center in Singapore.
