Savvis yesterday launched its private cloud solution and managed services offerings to be delivered through Savvis' two data centers in Hong Kong.
The solutions launch complements Savvis' rapid market expansion strategy in Asia, which was marked by the launch of public cloud service Symphony Open and private cloud service Symphony Dedicated in Japan in February, as well as the opening of its second data center in Singapore dubbed SG2 last month.
Savvis' private cloud solution, Symphony Dedicated, is targeted at multinational corporations that have extensive global data center footprints but demand the same computing experience in Hong Kong as in Singapore, Japan, Germany, Canada and the US, said Brian Klingbeil, Savvis' senior vice president, marketing and commercial development. Savvis' key target verticals are financial services, media and consumer brands.
According to Savvis' in a media statement, Symphony Dedicated is expected to provide high scalability and security, as well as seamless migration and a flexible engagement model to host mission-critical workloads.
