Veeva Japan serves cloud CRM from NTT Com's data center

Veeva Japan, the Japanese affiliate of Veeva Systems, announced it has started operating a Tokyo data center that runs on NTT Com's global cloud service Biz Hosting Enterprise Cloud.

NTT Com's Biz Hosting Enterprise Cloud is a global cloud service consisting data centers, servers and networks.

Veeva Systems, founded in 2007 and headquartered in the US, provides cloud-based business solutions for the life sciences industry. It targets at the pharmaceutical and bio technology companies, and provides cloud-based services such as customer relationship management (CRM) solutions in cooperation with Force.com, a cloud platform from Salesforce.com.

Asia Pacific hub

By moving its overseas system to NTT Com's platform in Tokyo, Veeva Systems will deliver its services in Japan via domestic communications infrastructure. Going forward, the Tokyo data center will operate as a hub for Veeva Systems' business in the whole Asia Pacific region.

Naoya Yamasaki, director of product management for Veeva Japan, said, "We believe that the Tokyo data center will be the foundation that allows us to focus on the Asia Pacific region, an important part of our corporate vision."
