ReadySpace launches IaaS for Hong Kong SMBs

Asia Pacific-based managed hosting provider ReadySpace announces to provide Parallels' cloud infrastructure solution to small and medium businesses in Hong Kong.

Called Parallels Automation for Cloud Infrastructure (PACI), Parallels' infrastructure-as-a-service, solution provides a range of hosting controls, from provisioning and billing to self-service management and security.

Using PACI, this enables ReadySpace to provide its customers with utility billing and security features "comparable to what Amazon Web Services and Rackspace Cloud were offering," said ReadySpace in a media statement.

The ReadySpace Cloud Services platform supports multiple operating systems and enables users to scale horizontally using load balancers instead of having to ramp up their server resources whenever there was a surge in demand.

"Like other Asia-Pacific countries, we are anticipating a faster adoption of cloud technologies among Hong Kong SMBs this year, driven by the government's aggressive plans to transition to the cloud," said David Loke, executive director of ReadySpace. "A key driver for this adoption is the relatively low set-up cost involved, helping them establish new business functions quickly and efficiently."

ReadySpace currently operates in the Asia Pacific region with five offices in Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and south China.
