Carpathia to deliver cloud services from Equinix HK data center

Carpathia Hosting announced to deliver co-location, managed hosting services and cloud solutions via Equinix's International Business Exchange (IBX) data center in Hong Kong.
This marks Carpathia's first deployment of Equinix's IBX data center in the Asia Pacific region, and is a part of a broader strategic alliance between the two organizations.
The strategic alliance combines Equinix's global footprint of carrier-neutral data centers and Carpathia's Payment Card Industry-compliant managed hosting solutions.
Spotify, a Swedish music streaming service with more than 10 million registered users and over 1.6 million paying subscribers worldwide, chose Carpathia to quickly deploy in Equinix IBX data centers in the US and scale its bandwidth to serve its growing subscriber base.
Unique transaction throughput requirements
"Our customers have some very unique requirements when it comes to transaction throughput, bandwidth and latency," said Jon Greaves, CTO of Carpathia Hosting. "We work closely with Equinix and our customers to design solutions that meet both the needs of the overall business as well as the financial metrics. Together, we're bringing to the market a formidable combination of services on Platform Equinix to help customers continue their expansion efforts into other geographies."
"The extension of our alliance with Carpathia into Hong Kong is a great example of how both companies are working jointly to help customers quickly generate revenue opportunities in new markets, without having to invest in building out their own infrastructure," said Eric Hui, director of cloud, IT, content and digital media, Asia Pacific, Equinix.
