BMC Software, today announced to acquire Numara Software to extend BMC’s IT management capabilities for the mid-market. The transaction is expected to close during BMC’s fiscal fourth quarter.

Based in Florida, US, Numara currently has more than 13,000 customers worldwide. Post-acquisition, Numara’s two product families, FootPrints for IT service and asset management and Track-It! for help desk and asset management, will be grouped under BMC’s service portfolio. Both product families are delivered as Software-as-a-Service and on-premise solutions
