Biznet Technovillage
This month, PT. Supra Primatama Nusantara, the owner and operating company of telecommunication provider Biznet Networks in Indonesia, is launching a 2-hectare high-tech park consisting of a tier-3 green data center with 9,000 square meters of gross space, fiber-optic telecom infrastructure, backup power system, office space and business centers.
The facility features green technology and materials certified by the Green Building Council of Indonesia. Dubbed Biznet Technovillage, the it caters for "various levels of companies in research, telecommunication, media, banking and outsourcing industry that require the use of operational office, research center, media production and back up facilities," said Adi Kusma, president director of Biznet Networks, which counts cloud computing as one of its flagship solutions.
Company officials highlight load balancing for optimal application performance as an advantage of the BizNet Cloud Computing hosting, server and storage services. Service options include multiple processors, memory size, storage size, and type of operating system.
At the Biznet Technovillage, fiber rings between Jakarta central business district and the high-tech park support mission critical operations. Greater connectivity is provided by direct connections to the Biznet metro and intercity fiber optic network as well as the Biznet tier-1 global IP backbone. The facility in Cibubur, West Java, also complies with Indonesian regulatory requirements for any private or national bank based in Jakarta to have its back up server systems at least 40 km from its central office.
Biznet Networks was an exhibitor at the recent CommunicAsia show in Singapore. It is an active member of the Indonesian ISP Association, which also operates the Indonesia Internet Exchange.
